Perfect is boring.

At Hotel V Oosterpark we prefer layers. A bit of a seventies attitude. Interiors that feel warm the second you walk in.

Our stylist Milou takes us through the hotel and explains the thinking behind it. No big design statements. Just hundreds of small choices that together create something that feels unmistakably Hotel V.

Looking outward

The starting point wasn’t a mood board.

It was the neighbourhood.

Right outside the hotel sits Oosterpark: green, open, constantly moving. Add the cultural institutions nearby and the building’s early-70s roots and the direction becomes clear.

Nature. Culture. A quiet nod to the seventies.

All layered into the spaces you see today.

A warm landing

Walking into Hotel V Oosterpark shouldn’t feel like a standard check-in.

It should feel more like a hug.

The building itself has clean lines and a modern glass façade, so the interior adds the contrast: warmth, texture and character.

Earthy greens. Burnt reds. Ochre yellows. Deep browns.
Colours pulled straight from the park outside.

Organic shapes soften the straight architecture. Rich fabrics and tapestries bring depth to the rooms. Materials that look good, but more importantly, feel good.

Nothing too polished. Nothing too perfect.

Bringing the park inside

Upstairs, the first thing you’ll probably notice is the view.

Oosterpark stretching out in front of you.

But take a moment to look inside the room too.

Soft curtains filter the light while still keeping the connection to the park alive. Deep lounge chairs invite you to sink in. The shapes are rounded, bulky, comfortable, a contrast to the clean lines of the building.

And yes, that bathtub is exactly where you hope it is.

Turn on the tap. Lean back. Watch the city move.

The quiet heroes

Design here isn’t about one hero piece. It’s about layers.

In the lobby, a vintage De Sede sofa from the 1970s anchors the room: a piece that only gets better with age.

In the rooms, the details do the work.

Handmade ceramic coffee cups crafted by Amsterdam studio Amfoor. Rich wall textiles. Lounge chairs that almost pull you into them.

Small things, maybe.

But they’re the things that make a space feel lived in.

It should feel like Hotel V

For Milou, the best moment is simple.

When guests walk in and immediately say:
“This feels like Hotel V.”

That means warmth. A bit of character. A place where you can settle in, look out over the park and let the day slow down for a moment.

No scripted experience. No copy-paste design.

Just Hotel V.

Getting Here

In which part of the city are your hotels located?

Depends which V you’re crashing at.

Fizeaustraat : Tucked away in East Amsterdam (Amsteldorp, if you want to sound local). Leafy streets, hidden gems, zero tourist traps.

Nesplein: In the heart of the city, right in the old theatre district. Steps from Dam Square, wrapped in canals. The real stage is outside your window.

Frederiksplein: Central but lowkey. Next to the canals, near the Albert Cuyp market, walking distance to Museumplein. Classic Amsterdam, minus the clichés.

Oosterpark: Right in the middle of the park. Wake up to birdsong. Green outside, laid-back buzz inside. East Amsterdam at its most alive.

What is the address of each Hotel V location?

No mysteries here, just three spots to drop your bags

Fizeaustraat: Fizeaustraat 2, right behind Amstel Station. Easy come, easy go.
Nesplein: Nes 49, just a heartbeat from Dam Square and Rokin.
Frederiksplein: Weteringschans 136, 1017 XV Amsterdam. Or V-Lofts are located in another building just around the corner!
Oosterpark: Linnaeusstraat 2C, 1092 CK Amsterdam. Inside the park

Easy to find, impossible to forget.

In Your Room

Do all rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, etc.?

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion of our own brand ETIKA. There is also a hairdryer in your room, so you can leave some room in your bags for souvenirs!

Are all rooms at Hotel V air-conditioned?

We keep things cool in different ways.

At Fizeaustraat the building has climate control and you can set the temperature in your room. Fans and heaters are available on request.

At Nesplein there’s central climate control to keep the vibe steady. Every room comes with a fan and we can bring a heater if you need one.

At Frederiksplein only the Loft has air-conditioning. During the warmer months our housekeeping team takes extra steps to keep rooms comfortable. Fans are placed in the rooms and blinds are lowered to block out the heat and keep things cool.

At Oosterpark, Each room has a fancoil unit that lets you lower or raise the temperature. No full AC, but enough to keep things comfy year-round.
