AMSTERDAM, MARCH 3, 2026 – Conscious Group has appointed Robbert Weddepohl as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 1, 2026. His arrival marks a new phase for the Dutch hotel group behind Conscious Hotels and Hotel V.

Entrepreneurial Leadership on the Floor

With the appointment of Robbert Weddepohl, Conscious Group chooses a leader with a strong operational foundation and broad expertise in hospitality. He previously served as Group Director Venues at Stage Entertainment and as COO at Van der Valk International. He combines an entrepreneurial vision with a hands-on leadership style and maintains a visible presence on the floor.

As CEO, he assumes ultimate responsibility for the group’s nine hotels. The focus will be on further professionalising the organization and building a scalable structure, supported by a clear growth strategy and sustainable value creation.

Authenticity as the Starting Point

Conscious Hotels and Hotel V each hold a strong and distinctive market position, with clearly defined brands and unique F&B concepts that create added value for guests and partners. Authenticity forms the foundation, reflected in design, food and beverage, sustainability, and the way teams collaborate.

Robbert Weddepohl: “The strength of Conscious lies in the combination of distinctive concepts and a professional organization. My focus is on further strengthening that foundation and building a scalable organization, without compromising who we are.”

Ready for the Next Phase of Growth

Conscious Group is entering a new growth phase. With recent openings in Amsterdam and Utrecht, the group has expanded beyond the capital for the first time. This broader footprint provides the foundation for further national and international expansion.

“At the same time, purpose remains an integral part of our strategy,” says Robbert Weddepohl. “Sustainable hospitality, strong teams and talent development form the basis of our success. By reinforcing these foundations, we continue building towards our ambition to become a leading European hospitality platform.”

Moving Forward with Confidence

“We are delighted to welcome Robbert as CEO,” says Patrick Grasso, who is stepping down from his role as ad interim CEO. “He brings the leadership that aligns with our culture and ambitions. With his knowledge and experience in the hospitality sector, from operational management to opening new hotels domestically and internationally, he is an excellent fit for the phase our organization is currently in.” Patrick Grasso will remain closely involved in the further development of Conscious Group on behalf of shareholder NIPA Capital.

Getting Here

In which part of the city are your hotels located?

Depends which V you’re crashing at.

Fizeaustraat : Tucked away in East Amsterdam (Amsteldorp, if you want to sound local). Leafy streets, hidden gems, zero tourist traps.

Nesplein: In the heart of the city, right in the old theatre district. Steps from Dam Square, wrapped in canals. The real stage is outside your window.

Frederiksplein: Central but lowkey. Next to the canals, near the Albert Cuyp market, walking distance to Museumplein. Classic Amsterdam, minus the clichés.

Oosterpark: Right in the middle of the park. Wake up to birdsong. Green outside, laid-back buzz inside. East Amsterdam at its most alive.

What is the address of each Hotel V location?

No mysteries here, just three spots to drop your bags

Fizeaustraat: Fizeaustraat 2, right behind Amstel Station. Easy come, easy go.
Nesplein: Nes 49, just a heartbeat from Dam Square and Rokin.
Frederiksplein: Weteringschans 136, 1017 XV Amsterdam. Or V-Lofts are located in another building just around the corner!
Oosterpark: Linnaeusstraat 2C, 1092 CK Amsterdam. Inside the park

Easy to find, impossible to forget.

In Your Room

Do all rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, etc.?

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion of our own brand ETIKA. There is also a hairdryer in your room, so you can leave some room in your bags for souvenirs!

Are all rooms at Hotel V air-conditioned?

We keep things cool in different ways.

At Fizeaustraat the building has climate control and you can set the temperature in your room. Fans and heaters are available on request.

At Nesplein there’s central climate control to keep the vibe steady. Every room comes with a fan and we can bring a heater if you need one.

At Frederiksplein only the Loft has air-conditioning. During the warmer months our housekeeping team takes extra steps to keep rooms comfortable. Fans are placed in the rooms and blinds are lowered to block out the heat and keep things cool.

At Oosterpark, Each room has a fancoil unit that lets you lower or raise the temperature. No full AC, but enough to keep things comfy year-round.
